A friend of mine convinced the Admiral and I this weekend to take a cruise from Oceanside, NY to NJ. He recommended Molly Pitcher Inn.
My tentative plan was to leave NY Sat the 26th, find a place inside Sandy Hook to anchor out for the weekend, then head over to Molly Pitcher Monday or Tuesday for a few days. Maybe back on the hook for a few days, then back to NY on Sunday the 3rd.
I just found out from the Molly Pitcher dockmaster that they are totally booked the entire week. The Admiral likes the idea of the pool at MP.
So I need suggestions for:
Good anchorages & what is within dinghy distance
Alternate places to Molly Pitcher (preferably w/ pool)
Mooring options
Best place to get gas
