I'm looking to purchase a 2000 Chaparral 180 SSE with a 4-cylinder motor in it. I was told the boat has 190 HP, but I didn't think the 4-cylinder Mercruisers had HP ratings this high. Could this be a 130-135 HP motor instead? Could a stock 4-cylinder be rated at 190HP?
Any help on this matter is appreciated - the difference in motor is a $1,800 price difference in the NADA value and this effects the loan to value on the baot. Thanks.
