I made them from "SCRATCH". If I had to do it again...I saw "support Poles " for Bimini tops in a boating catalog (Overtons I think) . I would buy those and cut them down to the length I want and put the "Quick Disconnect" Regal style fitting on the cut down poles. I think I got the quick disconnect fitting from Overtons also. Good Luck.

When its lowered, I bought a general purpose boat cover that goes over everything. Its been working great since 2005.
The mooring cover underneath provides the support for the outer cover. The boat stays clean and no wear n tear on the mooring cover.

For comparison, here's a pic of the shorter pole I purchased from Regal (sorry for photo size. I'd make 'em smaller if I knew how):

No one will mistake me for a DIY'er. Wish I were... the tranny on my Suburban is about to give up the ghost...

Just want to be sure I understand.... You purchased your poles from Regal? My dealer continues to insist that Regal doesn't make trailering poles for the 2400. I've asked my dealer to see if Regal will "give" me a second set of the back poles and attached hw so I can cut them down and make my own trailering poles.

I purchased them from Talleys Pier 77 Marine in Charlotte. I don't believe they are for the specific purpose of trailering with the 2400. Just a shorter set of poles. In fact, they came with the piece that attaches to the bimini. Don't really need that piece, since the upper and lower pieces attach via pushpin.

I've asked my dealer to call Regal and ask them for a free second set of back bimini poles to cut down for trailering (since they provide them std with the 2000 and 2200 that I purchased prior to this boat). If this doesn't fly, then maybe I'll contact Talleys Pier 77 Marine to get a set like yours.
