Just wanted to post the following so anyone visiting New Buffalo, MI would know about it:
Please be aware that we have received information regarding entering the harbor here in New Buffalo. The information is as follows:
The shoaling lies on the south side breakwater of the entrance by the red light, right outside the channel by the beach (2 ft), When entering the harbor stay off shore and approach the harbor entrance from the northwest; stay about 50-75 feet off the lake side break water (green light). Take a sharp turn as soon as you clear this break water, and stay to the left side of the channel. The storm a few weeks ago took out the shoal that used to lie to the south of the break water. On the town side of the bridge, and 120 ft. outside of the harbor where there is a sand bar. This condition may change with spring storms, please use caution when you enter the Harbor.
