A friend just sent me a copy of the premier issue of New England Boating Magazine. WOW! Lots of in depth articles of destinations, gunkholes, local knowledge, and other cool boating stuff. You will want to see this. Maybe some of you all are in it? It's definitely geared toward the power boater, but sail boaters will enjoy it too. "From Mystic to Maine: Cape Cod to Camden: Block Island to Boston" is the caption from Lighthouse Publications. WWW.NEWENGLANDBOATING.COM

That's cool, but pretty ballsy to start up a new print pub in this day and age...I'm drawning a complete blank on the actual name of it, but not too long ago I subscribed to the now defunct other New England boating mag, was good to have that local feel, this one looks interesting.

Agreed, I picked one up at a CVS a couple weeks ago, lots of good info and nicely written.

The defunct magazine was Offshore. The sales women promoting the new magazine at the NE Boat Show said it was the same publisher as Offshore. I wish them luck as I enjoyed Offshore and like the format of the new magazine.

Interesting the yearly subscription buys you 2 editions -- March and September -- according to their site. I'd buy a copy if i come across one to check it out. I was a long time fan of Offshore Mag

So the marina launched us this weekend and they had a copy of this mag...or should I say Cruising Guide...it is fairly massive and it looks like they are trying cover as many NE cruising destinations as possible...did not get a chance to see anything specifically about the pub itself but maybe a bi-annual only?

Hmm, I went there and came up with boating local .com Couldn't find the magazine but an interesting site
