As some of you may have followed I ordered one of Raritan's new Vortex Vacu head the pressurized fresh water model. I have a Vacu-Flush and love it with one exception, when a certain better half has to do #2 they are so hard the Venturi will not break them up and I usually end up with a clog. Lets just say the particles are the same size as the Venturi and hoses (small Golf balls) and loads. I have a temporary fix I boil a 1/2 gallon on hot water in the microwave until it's so hot it's almost vapor. I poor it let it sit about 5 minutes and then boil another quart of water. Then I flush the unit and then flush the quart after the Vacu-pump build pressure and no more clogs. I have a feeling it's the medication she is on. The new head has a chopper and uses different programmable water levels I am hoping I never have to make any more Poop soup ever again! But it works. I am going to be talking to her doctor about stool softeners. Bill

How about you just give her a stick to break it up with befor she flushes?

That doesn't work I tried that the only thing that works is boiling water. They are hard as rocks!

Bill,

Should we assume you did not show her this post? :-)

Repeat after me -- FIBER, FIBER, FIBER !!!

Seriously though, the shredder that is built into the new Marine Elegance Head should solve that problem. I have that same problem myself at times, and the Elegance we've been testing since June in our company men's room handles it with no problem at all.

A paint stirring attachment on a battery powered drill?

One of those "stick" blenders?

Put them in a plastic bag and save them for the next guy who wakes you or fishes too close to you?

PS: I feel a little bad joking about this since it's your wife. Now if it was you or one of your buddies ............ ;)

LOL I think it's funny. My wife doesn't. Thanks Vic that's the main reason I am replacing a new Vacu-Flush system with your unit. I'll end up giving one of the board members a great deal on a 1 season Vacu-Flush system, disinfected and cleaned the bowl is ceramic. Then I will purchase the Pura-San and Hold N Treat control from the site. Regards Bill

At least you will have a response if she says you have rocks in your head. ;)

On second thought, maybe not. [8)]

This has become a humorous topic, even though my wife is about 10 shades of red reading this thread. Vic the new Vortex Vacu head will get a real test and believe me if it works with this stuff I will do everything I can to help you sell more. Bill thanks for the laugh/s this kinda beats NBR lately.
Regards Bill

Bill,

If we ever get the chance to hook up, this topic will come right to the top of the list as "pooping" on a boat is almost always a "laugh-getter". Heck, last weekend I forgot to put my Electro-Scan in "auto" mode and kept wondering why my flush water kept getting darker and darker and the level kept rising in the bowl!

(for those that don't know, the tank was full and I wasn't letting Vic's product run treatment cycles to get rid of it).
