I'll be trailering my boat to south Louisiana in two weeks to work with a bridge inspection company that is inspecting the I310 bridge over the Mississippi River. My job is to be on the boat below the bridge whenever work is going on above. The plan is to live on the boat during the week and most likely get a hotel during the weekends. I'm looking for any suggestions for marinas, fuel, ramps, etc. The only full services marinas I've found are on Lake Ponchatrain, 30-35 miles down river and through the locks in Industrial Canal. I'm anticipating having to refuel about once per week. I'll also need fresh water and a pumpout station. Anyone have any ideas? The bridge is actually located in Luling, LA about 20-25 miles up river from New Orleans. I appreciate any help/suggestions you guys can provide.
