Vic,

Have you been holding out on us? I was just lurking around the Raritan Website (looking more at the Marine Elegance) and saw two things I've never seen before; the Toilet Water Kit and CH/Cleans Hoses. Can you tell me more about each please?

Hi Kurt, the Toilet Water Kit's been out for 25 years or more. It basically replicates the deodorant injection system that is built into our Crown Heads. It is used primarily on our manual heads. You have an adapter that is spliced into the incoming water line to the toilet's pump. Then you have a reservoir bottle of deodorant solution (Raritan "Concentrate") that is connected via a tube to this adapter. As the head draws in outside water to rinse the bowl, it also draws in a small amount of the deodorant solution, mixing it with the incoming water to sort of pre-treat the water before it comes into the toilet bowl. We advertised it pretty heavily back in the '80's, but it never quite "caught on" with the public.

"CH - Cleans Hoses" is indeed, a new product with us. It negates the need for muriatic acid to clean lines, Lectra/San, etc. It is safe to use, and there's no danger of getting acid burns with it. Plus, it works even better than muriatic acid. Our guys in Florida came up with it, and are raving about how effective it is. Les hasn't added it to the BoatFix line as of yet (at least, I don't think he has). We've been running an introductory sale for the month of May. Normal price is $89.00/gal. (only available in gallon jugs); for the rest of this month it is $66.75, possibly extending into June; I haven't heard anything for sure as of yet.

How does one get the intro price on the CH? I'd really like to get some ASAP.

How does it work? Do you just pour the gallon in the toilet unit or what? How do you get the 5:1 ratio into the lines?

Aw, c'mon David... - you mix it up in a separate bucket - 1 quart CH to 5 quarts of water. Then dump it into the head, then flush the head only long enought for it to disappear.
Simply follow the directions on the label for how long to leave it there before flushing out the lines.

To get the special price, call (800) 352-5630, then select Option 5 to get to our Order Department. tell the girl that you want to order a gallon of part # 1PCHGAL, at the special price of $66.75. Don't order it through our website, as it will automatically charge you the higher price, which won't get reviewed by a "real person."
