Well after needing to sell my last boat to cope with the changes in the airline industry, I think I have found a chance to get back on the water! It is old,, and boy is it UGLY, but it appears in excellant shape! I have only owned I/O's and this boat has a 1982 70hp Evinrude on it. This will be my first outboard.
Any thing I should look at in particular? I will run a compression check, and operational check, but I thought I would ask the experts if these had any special quirks to pay attenion to.
The boat has been in this marina for it's entire life, and only used a few hours each year. Always in a covered boat house.
