After 18 years with my 94 34 Silverton Convertible, I upgraded. Bought a 2006 Silverton 42 Convertible. She has Yanmar 440 hp diesels. this is my first diesel boat and the torque and handling around the docks is amazing! Happy to have a boat with diesels but have a lot to learn. My 34 C is for sale and someone is going to get a great boat.

Congratulations Doc! Hope you stop working so hard and spend more time on the new boat!

we need pictures

Diesels rule! Docking is so much easier with their low end grunt. Congrats and many happy times aboard!

Congrats !

Did something similar this year in selling the 33' Trojan International with Yanmars, owned for 21 years into a 45' Sea Ray Sundancer with CATs

COULDN'T BE HAPPIER !

Hope you enjoy doing the upgrades and catch up maintenance as much as I do

BEST !

Diesels are inherently more simple than gas engines. And so much safer!

Thanks guys. Really happy to have the diesels. Trying to learn as much as I can about them. The power and torque is awsome.

Diesels are great but keep the fuel squeaky clean. Truck or boat.

Congrats & good luck Doc!
Great boat and you’ll love running diesels

If I remember some Yanmars of that era had valve issues and something you might want to look into it.
Outside of that ive heard mostly good about them

Hang on a minute here Doc, you are breaking one of the Primary Rules of Boatered, you've been around long enough to know better!

Chap 1, Subsection 3, Paragraph B, Rule number 659 states:

Thou shalt not posteth about thy new boat without postingeth photos of said boat for all to ooh an ahh over...
