thrusday i drove 4 hours to pickup my brand new g3 1860 at the dealership in billings montana.... it has a galvanized trailer.. when we plugged the trailer in to my car, we turned on the emergency flashers to see if all was working and the car worked but the trailer only had running lights after checking it out.. wednesday the day before we left, i had just had the shop down the street from my buisiness put on the three and one trailer plug on my 2004 escape.. when i got back home i took the car into the place that put on the plug and i told them they didnt do something right..afterchecking it out they said that it was my trailer and it burnt up an expensive duo flasher unit about 80.00 dollars, and some blown fuses,.. im guessing 100- 160 dollars total damage.. i went home and put a meter on the trailer, all of the trailer (4 plug ends) had continuity with each other and none of them had continuity from the plug to the tung on the trailer.. to me it looks like the trailer wrecked my flasher and fuses, and i hope nothing else.. ill take the boat and car down to the dealer and see what they say.. should the boat company that sold the package pay for the damage to my car?? ive had the new boat and trailer,motor, for three days.. dave...
