My 1979 MerCruiser 140hp i/o quit pushing. We reciently installed a new prop (same pitch) and it was going just fine when all of a sudden it quit pushing the boat. it will go into gear and rev up high! as if it is flying, but will only go idle speed. We keep hearing all sorts of things from sheared pin to some thing behind the motor that cost alot. ANY IDEAS???
