Hey guys!
Finely got my boat in the water on Sat, 1989 280 Sea Ray Sundancer.
Here's the thing, I owned the boat for the past 6 years, my marina does all the winter commissioning, then in the spring, they do some, I do the rest. The one thing I always do is my fresh water system, never a problem, fill the tank with fresh water, flip the water system switch, open all the faucets, wait for all the pink stuff to come out and I'm pretty much done.
This year, went through the same procedure, but I'm not getting any water running through the hot water side at all, I'm not talking about hot water, there is no water flowing when I turn the knob. The cold side works fine on the two sinks and the fresh water wash down in the cockpit. When I have the cold running and I turn on the hot side, the flow of the cold goes weak. If I just turn on the hot side, nothing, the pump doesn't even kick on. I checked and cleaned the pump and screen it runs the cold water side strong. I replaced the hot water heater two years ago, so I feel that is not the problem. I have no idea how, but could there be something clogging a line? When I open the hot water faucets, I hear air for a second or two, I also opened the relief valve on the hot water tank, same thing, a small amount of air, for a second or two. I'll try looking at the HW tank end of the system. Haven't touched the breaker, I know it will fry the unit.
My dock buddies and I are all scratching our heads, anyone have any ideas? All and any suggestions will be helpful, thanks in advance for your help!
