We are planning to head to Sailors Haven later this week. I have had the upper & lower salon refrigerator off since the storm. Yesterday, I turn on the cockpit one and load it full of Beer, Mikes, water etc. I also turned the salon one and went home. Today I go to the boat with a cooler full of basic provisions like H&H, butter, cheeses, condiments etc, all except for the last minute stuff and the F-en fridge is room temperature. It has never been serviced and stood the test of time for 9 seasons.
It's too late to call Marine Specialists or anyone else, So I will have to improvise for this trip between the smaller cockpit fridge and a cooler. But now I am wondering if I should just replace it? It is a duel voltage and has been quite reliable, in contrast with some of the comments about this brand.
I plan to use the boat though October for overnight trips to Kismet, Watch Hill and Atlantique, so I would like to have this working. Since the weather it is not real hot in temps, I can work with coolers and the other fridge , but rather do it right.
Any suggestions?
