First of all, welcome to the Chesapeake!
I live in Parkesburg and trailered a 23 footer for many years. We usually launched at Elk Neck State Park but occasionally headed to Havre de Grace/Tydings Park or the Sassafras/Duffy Creek Marina. All were fine but each had their pos. and negs.
- Elk Neck- 4 nice lanes with solid piers and lots of parking but water conditions can get rough. Locked after dark. Gas/bait available.
- HdG/Tydings(my current marina)- 2 lanes with small floating docks. Ramp is getting worn and needs work. Parking can be a problem on weekends, especially if they're having a bass tournament. Open 24/7. Gas/bait/pumpout/overnight slips available.
- Sassafras/Duffy Creek- Kinda tight and steep 2 lane ramp, but always calm (even in windy conditions). As I recall, parking is on a grass lot. Gas/parts/bait/slips available.
Over the years (18 of 'em) we also launched at Anchor/Northeast, Charlestown (town ramp and Lees), and Kent Narrows (I forget the name). I didn't use 'em much so I can't comment on them other than they worked.
