I feel like I'm the only one that hasn't splashed yet this season, and I still don't have a date for it. Anyone else in my boat?
 
Hello Ed, I was but my NJ marina called and the boat was launched last Sunday. I made a quick trip to Tuckerton to make sure the batteries were properly charging, the frig was turned on and to make sure I had no fresh water leaks.
I have a new to me trawler that's currently in Maryland that was just taken out of the water for work to be done on her.
I'm hoping to sell the Mainship 40SB soon and bring the trawler to the Jersey coast before the July 4th holiday.

Why would anyone be in your boat if it's not even in the water yet?

We've been in about a month, but only slept on board six nights so far.
 
Nope, went in Saturday. You're the only one still out.
 
I need a full day to de-winterize, clean it up, change the impeller, fit the new bimini frame, etc. before I can even think about getting her wet.

I'm out..... but the James is so full of garbage, I'm not concerned.
 
You're not alone. Not splashed yet; possibly by the end of next week. Interestingly, most of the larger boats at our marina are still shrinkwrapped. The smaller, 18' and less, outboard and I/O boats seem to be going in now or are already in. Hy
 
I usually get a day or two in before Memorial Day, but this year has been too busy, and the weather hasn't been that great either.
 
No, I'm sorry to say that you're not the only one. Last week I unwrapped, washed,and waxed. I need two more days. I'm probably looking to be done by the second weekend of June. Very late even for me.
 
I just need to burp the reverse AC units and I'm good to go with W1.

We have been in for a little over a week. Have slept over twice. We are in a temporary slip for now though. There was an ice jam on the river this past winter and took out 3 marinas. The new docks were delivered today and should be installed next week. Hoping for a nice summer since this is first full season with our new to us boat.
 
Later than usual this year but have been in a couple weeks now here in the NE, and boated several dozen fish in between loading and shining-up and fixing missions. The boat and I are back in our element and life is good.
Ed it may be worth spending all night tonight to geterdone and enjoy a holiday sunset cruise.
 
I'm still on the hard. The marina has been launching boats for the past couple weeks and I'd be in by now if was ready, but I'm in the process of refitting my engine room. I still have a couple weeks of work to go. Looks like I picked the perfect season to do this project given the late start to the season. I hope to be splashed by mid June.
 
I'm hoping our late start ends up meaning we have a long season. One can hope I guess?

I have been in Europe for 3 weeks but my boat is in and should be all waxed and ready to go when I get home today!
Can't wait to run her!
 
Up until the last day or two, it was still like winter on northern Lake Michigan. Driving across Michigan's UP Thursday, I noticed patches of snow remaining in the sand depressions along the beach. Conditions look to be improving so next weekend will be the launch and a cruise up to my new slip in Mackinaw City.
 
Have not splashed yet...hoping for this Wednesday, the 28th.
At least the ice is gone. lol.
