While getting my boat ready for for the season I noticed gear lube seeping out of the forward weep hole in the outdrive. It is the 1/4 inch hole to the forward and starboard of the drive. I think that this hole normally drains water from the outdrive. These drives are 1981 Mercruiser "1" with the lifting eye on top.
Is this a problem? What could cause this?
