Hello,
While trying to change the oil on my '02 Merc 5.7 EFI last week, my dipstick oil pump failed. After reading the Clymer manual, I realized that my engine has a factory installed quick drain tube (about 3ft long) mounted on the right (facing stern) side of the engine. However, the details in the Clymer manual on how to use it are limited.
My question is has anyone used this drain? What is the best way on how to use it (external pump or just use gravity)? Any comments would be welcome?
Thanks,
Matt
