Old River Bridge Closure

The bridge on Hwy 4 where Union Point is located will be closed for work every week night from 8PM to 5AM beginning 6/1. Projected completion is 6/11.

I doubt that this will impact river traffic, but it will make it impossible to get through on Hwy 4 between Disco Bay and Stockton.

Does anyone know what they are doing during this project? I don't think it is emergency repairs, because they have a big sign up declaring it as "stimulus dollars" at work.......

It's been closed before.

As long as drivers know about it, they just need to take J4 to Tracy then onto 205 or back up to Highway 4 via Tracy Blvd. Sure, it's longer, but the hours are reasonable to work around.

And besides, most of Disco Bay is already asleep by 8pm! [:-drunk]
