I recently purchased an Onan 6.5 generator. Model MCCK. Can any one tell me where to find a diagram showing where the water lines and coolant lines are supposed to run.
Thanks,
Steve

Just googled it and found the manuel.......

Steve:

You need the "Operators Manual" and/or "Service Manual" for your particular spec. I have the ones for the MCCK/D (#927-0121 and 927-0752). Specs A - H should be similar. The spec will be on the nameplate. I'll be happy to scan and e-mail the manuals to you if you send me your e-mail (Comogene at yahoo).

Essentially, from the seawater intake to a strainer, then to the external circulating pump mounted adjacent to the flywheel on one side of the engine. From the pump, hose runs to the base of heat exchanger. Second hose from heat exchanger base (opposite side)to a fitting on the exhaust water ejector elbow which comes out of the center of the exhaust manifold and feeds the raw water into the exhaust.

The closed or captive water system runs from the bottom center of the heat exchanger to the circulating pump (also externally mounted but on the other side of the engine) to intake fittings on front of block. There is a thermostat on the top of each cylinder head. Hose from each thermostat fitting to the fitting at the ends of the exhaust manifold. From the exhaust manifold back to the heat exchanger at the top.

All of the hose is 1/2" except the exhaust.
