I got a phone call from one of our long time posters, DLL. Many of you know that Dave has been battling health problems for several years. His health has declined further and the docs can't seem to figure out the problem. Dave is now in route to the Respiratory Clinic in Denver, CO in the hopes that elite institution can diagnose his problem and help to get it corrected.

Dave is not the type to ever ask for help, but he could sure use our thoughts and prayers now.

He is a great guy and I will definitely keep him in my prayers.....funny thing, just this morning he crossed my mind. I was wondering why he wasn't posting any more. I sure hope to see his friendly posts here again soon!

I'll keep him in my thoughts and look forward to seeing his posts here again.

Dave's favorite quote:

"Smile, it could always be
worse!! And sure enough, it
got worse..."

Let's hope and pray that he stops smiling long enough to get better. He is in my thoughts and prayers.

Support from friends AND strangers work miracles! Hope Dave is back soon!

That's sad to hear...

He'll in my prayers and thoughts. I wish him the best of luck and wish his Family well...

Any news on DLL? I remember reading his frequent contributions here, and met him and his admiral at a BoaterEd raftup at Angel Island in 2002 (or -3?)
Best wishes for his speedy recovery.

Charles

I heard from Dave today. Apparently there has been so snag in getting his referral to Denver complete. He's still awaiting the word to head out to Denver and has had some medical news but all of it has been bad.

Hopefully he'll get the word soon and the excellent docs in Denver can get him patched up and back in the boat.

Thanks for the update, but I'm sorry it isn't better news.....

I don't have the words, so I will just say thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers.
I got the implant in my heart and released to come home. We took it easy...averaged about 170 miles a day...3 hours of driving....Then park the rig, hook up and sleep for ten hours

Thanks so much. I will look forward to seeing you on the water soon....Dave & Chris

Welcome home! I hope you can now enjoy your boat again. God bless........

Dave,

Glad to hear you made it home safely. I got your generous offer and I'd like to talk to you about it sometime. For now, concentrate on getting your strength back and getting back on the water in your beautiful boat.

DLL, I am delighted to hear that you could be back on the water soon. Hang in there. We'll save a spot for ya in the raft up.

Dave -- I say amen to what Absoloot said. Get down to your beautiful boat ... soon! -- Warren
