Hi all,
The Admiral and I have owned our 27' Sea Ray for 1.5 years, putting about 75 hours on the engine. Together we've taken a couple of local Power Squadron classes. She then also took a group boating class with some friends of hers through Sac State which was taught on a small 19' ski boat (useless, according to her). As I grew up on and around boats, I've gotten very comfortable handling our SR (still learning every day though). She, on the other hand, is VERY uncomfortable doing so. Though we kep trying, there are just so many things that don't seem to "want to click" with her. So we are now discussing her taking some one-on-one lessons on our boat taught by an experienced skipper/captain. Does anyone know of any people out there that do such things (for hire)in the greater Sacramento/East Bay region? We were thinking of maybe a one to two day class... Any thoughts of what to expect, what to "look out" for? Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
GG
