I have to replace my pair of 89 200 johnsons which are tired. I got a price from eds marine super store for a pair of 05 yamaha 200hpdi for 23,000 same motors at marina in Long Island are about 26,500 plus 8.25% tax. I can have theme mounted all hardware new tanks done at my house by a very good mechanic alot of us use total job around 29,000. Thru the marina it will be about 35,000 plus tax. Its a hell of a savings but my questions are.
Has anyone had problems getting warranty work at a marina from a motor they bought on the internet?
How is eds marine supper store as far as doing business with? I dont need service from them just motors and hardware kits.
I need to do this deal this week to get the extra 3yr of warranty but I need your guys opinion on this.
Should I stick with the dealer or go it on my own.
