What is the general opinion of Azure deck boats? Construction quality on par with Regal or Sea Ray or Chaparral?

Looking at a used 2007 20' decker with Volvo Penta 5.0 and only 80 hours. I just don't know anything about them.

That would be correct. Now part of Cruisers. Known to be very high quality, and priced accordingly.

Try the Cruisers Yacht Owners Club forum for more info. I know there was a problem with some of the Volvo outdrives because they were made of a composite material rather than aluminum. I suggest you do some research on that before you buy the boat. Those outdrives were terrible and could not be repaired; they needed to be replaced. If the boat you're considering has one of those drives, the cost of a replacement drive should be taken into account. Hy

This was an issue with the Volvo out drives. I'd stay away from the composite drives regardless of which brand boat you buy. Most of the volvos are great, but if it's composite stay away.
