Other marinas or anchorage near Port Jefferson

On the North Shore - Besides Danfords is there any other marina a 60-ft boat can get into for a night? If not where nearby can I drop an anchor for a night? 5 ft draft.

There are Marinas in Pt Washington & Huntington that can handle your big boy. Also there should be a yard in Glen Cove as well
You can also go to the CT side where you have Stamford, Norwalk, Milford etc- I like Norwalk a lot and will be there this weekend as well as next Tuesday as a chase boat for the balloon race
You can drop the hook at many places such as oyster bay, Lloyd harbor and the sand pit at Pt Jeff to name a few. Let me know if you need details

Andy, I'd appreciate any numbers you have as I'm having a problem with 2 day reservation at Danfords. It appears they screwed up and only booked me for 1 of the 2 days. Now they claim they don't have Thursday & Friday night as my 2nd day? I'm hoping they make room no matter what as I have guests coming to meet me Friday. Otherwise, I need to get another slip for Friday night even if I must anchor? I'll let the lawyers work out the untimate reservation problem as this is not my fault.
 
Andy, Thank you. I'm so nuts now about finding another slip I forgot to say thanks. I have a million things to do so little time.

CORRECTED - As it stands now, THURSDAY I should be there (Danfords)by about 12:00 Noon. Just my wife & I until maybe about 4:40 when I'm getting picked up for a dinner at a home nearby. Friday is up in the air right now?
 
Andy Update, Danfords was able to locate a spot for me at another nearby Marina for Friday night. I'll be at Silver Bay Marina (Danfords says is so close he can hit it with a rock)? So Thursday at Danfords, Friday at Silver Bay very close by and leaving Saturday. Wow, I need a drink! I'm sending you my cell phone number in case you can stop by? Thanks again.

Received your message too late since the Norwalk would have been another fun place to go. Just got back. Nice trip. We didn't have much time to shop the town. Silver Bay was ok but has only had fixed dock space for me. Tough way to dock considering a 7-ft low tide. My wife had to climb a wood ladder no ramps. Not a place to dock again.
