Over the winter my dealer is going to repaint the outdrive and add clear antifouling paint. My first question is cleaning the out drive when the boat cam out of the water I at first thought I was looking at some corrosion I had these circle things on the drive but I think it was a type of marine life that is hard but I can scrape it with my fingernail and see the nice black paint under these things. I am in ct anyone know what these are? Anyway my dealer told me he would use a wire brush to remove that stuff and clean some spots where the paint wore off then he would prime and paint the drive. The wire brush raised a flag. I thought you could not use a wire brush on aluminum outdrive (I have a bravo III drive)? My next question is he said he would use a clear antifouling paint but I don't see any advertised out their what could he be using? I know talking with the guy could solve some of these questions but I am unable to right now as he is away however I am meeting with him first week of February and want to be armed with a little more knowledge.
Thanks
