Outdrive question

I'm trying diagnose a problem in my outdrive. I have a 2006 SR 240 Sundeck, 350 MAG, Bravo 3. When I'm cruising out in heavier wake my trim tends to go up on its own.

I'm thinking the trim cylinders may need replacement but would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

The force of the propeller is trying to push the outdrive down not up. So I might suspect electrical. Run 20' of cheap #18 wire to a 12v bulb near dash. Connect the wire to trim motor. See if it lights up in rough seas

To clarify are you talking trim on outdrive or trim tabs? If trim tabs are they hydraulic (Bennett) or electric (Lenco)?
