Took my boat out to the ocean yesterday. Left the launch ramp and about 10 min. the engine started getting hot. The warning buzzer came on and I shut down the engine immediatly. When I opened the engine hatch there was water in the bilge.(Never happened before) Looking for a leak, I noticed that the clamp from the outdrive water inlet might have been loose. It seemed OK but I re-clamped it anyway. After the engine cooled I started the engine and noticed a leak coming from the exhaust bellow. The hose clamps were not tight(I had the motor out in the spring). Tightend all the clamps, started the engine and the motor ran cool. Ran out to the ocean and fished for about 2 hours. On the way back, the engine ran hot again but not hot enough to cause the alarm to come on. Sorry for the long post but any help will be much appreciated.
