Port engine in overheating please help.
Hi I have a 29' cruisers rogue with twin Mercruisers 260 with alpha ones. They are 1987's and raw water cooled.
When I winterized my boat both engines ran great and did not overheat. I change the impellers in the outdrives and the thermostats last week. When I took her for a sea trial the port engine overheated under load. I can rev her and netrel and when I'm in the no wake zone she will run cool and perfect. When I put her up on plane she overheats. Is this the risers and manifolds? could it be anything else? If it is the manifolds and risers does it matter to buy oem or aftermarket ones? I found some cheap ones on E-bay. Please help
