overnight marina south of sacramento

Well, as they say, we have always used my birthplace as the home port for all our documented vessels. This has created some interesting conversations and introductions over the years. In reality, my home port is strictly a converstaton piece. It is very near the more famous Lake Placid, home of the Olympics. Pragamtically, I spent most of my life in Rocklin and unless I die after age 98 and remain in Cape Coral from now until then, my biographer would have to go with Norhern California as having the greateast impact on my boating life. I must add, not from a boasting or put down perspective, that boating in Florida in sheer terms of numbers of boats, places to go, dealers, marinas, etc. is just overwhelming compared to California. Life in Cape Coral largely revolves around boats and fishing.

I think I prefer the CA Delta to Florida, but I've never been there.......

Take it from 'ol Caltexfla, Liz, if you like the Delta you will love boating in Doug's present neck of the woods. All that the Delta offers and much much more..
