I recently had deep scratchs put in 3 spots on a dark blue gel band from an anchor. There are also 2 scratchs on the white hull. I got two quotes, both of which want to paint these area. I am wondering should I order the gelcoat from spectrum and do the gelcoat myself or let them paint to fix. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each Paint or gelcoat that is. Is it ok to paint? Any insight would help!
