Painting name on Inflatable hull bottom

this may sound like a strange question but here it goes....
i have a documented boat with a Inflatable dinghy on davits on the swimplatform.
when the dinghy is tilted up it blocks the boats name. i recently saw another boat with the same setup and it had the boats name painted on the bottom of the dinghy.
anyideas how or with what this was done. and it this fits the requirements on displayng the main boats name/port
