OK, guys, I need your expertise again. I need to refinish the parquet flooring in the dinnet and sofa areas of my Voyager 28. I am fairly familiar with household and furniture coatings but not marine use coatings. I really like the parquet and want a nice finish in it but I also want something tough enough to withstand the marine (salt water) environment. The flooring is in need of a total strip down, stain and finish.

Anyone have any suggestions? I don't Homer Formby will work. :)

The finished used by Carver was "just" a teak oil, hand rubbed into the parquet. To refinish, I would think a sanding and re-oil would be all that is needed unless you want a different finish than original.

Yup, no big problem. I just sanded mine to a smooth new wood look then used teak oil.

Fantastic. I will give that a go. Thanks to both of you for the info.
