Why is is it SO quite on this forum, don't you guys know that we are only days away from the biggest party of the year?
I am talking about the yearly thing down at Elliott Key of cause. I ended up missing the one last year due to the strong winds and my landlubber crew for that event. This year I am set on being part if it all, so who is going???

Columbus Day Regatta

strong winds last year???? what? it was great!

we're going.. leaving friday late afternoon, coming back sunday night or monday, not sure yet. A friend of mine is going with her 58 and I think MarioG is also going to be there with his 58.

I was there last year but I was racing, not partying. Weather was great!

like I said "landlubber crew" last year, not this year! This years crew will be rain or shine, the show most go on.

Never went to CDR but would like to.
If I planned a 2/3 day stay at Elliot Key, where would I fuel up on arrival or on the way. Would be great to meet up with Pascal and others. Sure has been quiet on SFBC this year.

i dont' think you'd need to get fuel from pompanno... Eliott is only 15 miles south of miami.

No fuel at eliott, but if you need fuel around Miami, the best places are:
- rickenbacker marina, on the north side, east end of the Rickenbacker causeway to Key Biscayne
- Scottys' landing, just north of Dinner Key marina
- crandon marina (northern tip of Key biscayne), by bear cut, accessible on the bay side.

I will be there, wouldn't miss it. I had always made it there and back without refueling. I always take about 30 gallons of gas in jugs for the dingy and what ever we don’t use I just pour in the tank for some help on running the genset.
I did get about 10 gallons in each tank at the Hollywood Marina last year just to be sure I would make it home but I stopped to use the pump out so I just got a few gallons to be safe.

This year we will not physically be there BUT we will
in spirit and will hoist some drinks to Y'all.
4 years partying down to the Regatta, , I promised that this year we would Cruise(Princess) from the Mediterranean and Transatlantic back to Ft. Lauderdale ,Quid Pro Quo.
Next year we will return to Biscayne Bay for that great Columbus day party and hope to see Y'all again, have fun and be safe!

O.K. We just arrived into Ft. Lauderdale after a glorious 18 day cruise. Please tell me and show some picts of the regatta... how many boats, the weather etc. Thank You.

it was nice, maybe a little fewer boats than usual but still packed.

Pascal Ole' man! Great shots! Judging by the colors and smiles ,the weather must have been terrific along with fun times...Hopefully next year we WILL come back to the CDR and enjoy it again. Thank You.
