Anyone have contact information about the christmas parade?
I'm told it is the weekend of Nov. 20th. We went last year and had a blast.

Hi Billy, its Bruce. the parade is on and it is on 11/21/10. This year we are doing some more changes to make it even better. This year I am the Grand Marshal, whatever that means, but it means i cannot win any trophys this year which is fair. I hope to see you at mikes place again. i will get the forms out to you. Maybe the long island yacht club can do a group boat. It is fun. we wil also do a bar crawl on saturday night prior and people can see the boats at the docks and vote also, but more important they get to see all the work involved doing this. we will also have a captains meeting on friday night to go over all the new things, and we will still have the breakfast for 2 on sunday morning. so get the word out pal...hey rob..why don't you join in pal.

LIYC is out, but we are in, and looking forward to it. We display the trophy we won last year with pride. We would love to stay at Mike's, could you include his number with the information.
Grand Marshal is just a way to give someone else the best boat trophy, but after last year I can tell how much you mean to the community. Congratulations!

Billy K.

thanks billy...your boat was awesome also. the theme is a christmas past...mike is 631-804-9595

Christmas Past --- What a great theme. How appropriate. Each year, except for 2008,
has been better than the year prior. We are getting better, stronger, and more competitive
every year. Bruce, with you as the Grand Marshal this year, that’s one trophy we’ll all go home with. Congratulations and good luck.

Thanks Priceless...we will have fun as usual this year you and the gang decorating the boat . There are some new aspects to the parade this year. the main one is on Saturday night most of the boats will be on display in the marinas on the river and the public is invited to do a bar/boat crawl ans see and meet the people involved on the boats and even do a public vote on the boats that will have some effect on the outcome. I have also come up with a plan to speed up the process since last year it took too long and people were getting cold waiting for all the boats to come down. I will see you 10/16 in the eve .

Hey Bruce,

Left Mike a message, so were in. Not to sure we are going to win the Christmas past theme boat but your going to love the pirate layout we going to have. Is there a form we need to fill out? Fax # 631 293-3715

I WILL GET THE FORM OUT TO YOU,,LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THE BOAT..GOOD LUCK

Tammie and I went on the ferry with the Friends of Watch Hill and had a nice time. I didn't realize what a big turnout they get, besides 20 or so boats all decorated in the parade, the shore was lined with people on both sides of the canal almost all the way down. There were a load of people at the park by the Davis Park ferry, people hanging out on their boats in the marinas along the way, at different restaurants, bars, they had grills out BBQing while watching... I had no idea it was such a big event! Definitely worth checking out next year for people who haven't seen it before.

I have no idea who won, being on the ferry we didn't hear any announcements about that! At one point they said they FOWH group on the ferry won, but then they weren't sure. I think they put the ferries and other 'oversized vessels' (50'+) in their own category this year. People definitely went all out on the decorating.

the parade was the best ever. billy k picked up 2 awards, nice job billy. fowh ferry won best overall, ron senecore with the sayville ferry got best in theme and the knights of co,umbus boat got best in sound. you all need to come out next year, it is a great show, and watch out billy, i can get an award next year, lol...happy thanksgiving to all
