PBM/HM/SPBM/MYC/Bowline

Our docks are made from an expensive African hardwood, it does not rot, break or splinter - it is as hard as steel.

Yes, until some little wind with a foot of tide and a female name (go figure why they all got female names) comes by and scratch the docks!! :-)

Are you referring to all the damage HM suffered?

What you need is some good ole floating concrete and 18" steel poles.

18", I wish, but for the pilings 18' above the water would be better. :)

Mike you should do a little research, on what the African children have to do in order to provide you with the terrific docks. (akin to blood diamonds). Please think of them while you are sitting on the rear deck of Hogan enjoying your mudslides. ;)

Butch - I just measured and there is currently 17' of pole above the dock at just about high tide.

Your decks are made of African hardwood, not the substructure. So how much new expensive African hardwood decking was needed after the storm?

Actually none. We had all our docks. Just c and d snapped in half. We recovered all the sections so they just rebuilt the structures.

17', just hope you don't get an 18' storm. Only kidding. The new pilings they have put in here will work with the surge we had from Sandy and give us an additional 4-6 foot. As time goes on Im sure they will start replacing the pilings that are still here. Problem they are Having is the pilings are going so deep when They drive them. I think the steel ones they drove were 70'

Butch; 15 more days and you will be like a young boy on summer vacation. Spending your days at the marina watching the world go around. Congratulations!!

Ninety six in the shade. May need some dry ice to keep the boats cool tomorrow night.

We will be just fine. Just jump in the water before you go to bed.

When my wife and I left for the boat this afternoon it was really hot. When we got to the boat it is about 15 degrees cooler with a nice 10-15 knot breeze to keep the bugs away. No AC will be needed tonight here in South Jersey.

It was a hot one today! Tomorrow will be very close to today I thinking tomorrow may be the first dip in the river for me, well at least for the season. I expect there will be at least two raft ups in Bowline tomorrow those that do and those that don't. I'm sure we will all have a good time!

Thanks Pete and yes someone is. I am like a young boy now Pete but my body does not realize it. But I promise, I will enjoy it.

Butch congratulations! It time to start enjoying the rest of your life:)
