Father's Day is supposed to be our day and today could not have been any better. Started it off with an hour on the waverunner with the admiral. I think she enjoyed it more than me.

Cut through the flats/ marshes and just encountered one numbnut waterskiing off a waverunner in the marsh with no spotter. Jerk. Finished it with a dinner cruise to Freeport.

Water was crystal clear all day. Conditions all day were perfect. Flat, no wind, visibility for miles and miles. Absolutely perfect.

Lots of boats out there enjoying the same. TOB Constables were out in force doing their job, especially within the 5mph zones. Nice to see.

Took a fun run out to Freeport in the early evening. Had a great meal, then took a walk in town to work it off. Walked up to that Grover boat that made the TransAtlantic trip in 1985. Great story. Check it out online at

Amazing story especially for all us boaters. He made it across the pond in a 9.9 Envinrude!!! That included 25' high waves during a hurricane AND he and his son only had about 15 inches width to sleep a few hours at a time. Amazing boating story.

Came back from Freeport near dusk with nobody around us. Oh my god what a beautiful run. Water flat as glass, no boats and a beautiful sunset. Waved to Sea Tow boat as he reported a can washed up on shore.

I'll remember this Father's Day for a while. Hope you all got the same. Today we were fortunate.

Agree. A ton of boats on water, but amazing day. The water was blue and calm. Family got me a new barbecue for dock. Had a great barbecue with friends and family. Awesome fathers day! Hope you all got to enjoy the day.

Did the BBQ thing at the dock with families. Too crazy out there today. Was out on Saturday. Water in the marina was nasty. Eel grass and garbage floated in at high tide.

Haven't been out on the boat much. I've been restoring a 1975 Mako center console at my shop. I gutted it clean to the stringers and have since been rebuilding it. It was a perfect father's day for me because with my son, we shot gelcoat on the console and deck yesterday. It came out better then I thought it would. I can actually see the end to this project. Hope to see you out there soon.

I spent the day over in Coast Guard Cove with friends and family couldn't have asked for a nicer Fathers Day!
