These pictures were taken yesterday at 4:00 P.M. (New Year's Eve) at Spindrift Marina on Andrus Island. I was there to move the boat if it looked like the marina was going to lift off its pilings. It didn't. Spindrift got through todays high tide and storm, too.
The shore line is off, batteries are on and the boat is ready to leave. There is less than a foot left on the pile at my slip.
I was about ready to repark the car with the headlights facing the road.
Having the water a step away from the car is a convenience I'd rather not have. A stick in the middle of this shot was placed there by someone to mark the highest water.
A wide-angle shot taken from the transom showing the newly-refurbished Spindrift restaurant inside the levee.
A gravel truck heads off to a trouble spot. Dual hopper semis took load after load of riprap to areas including a stretch of levee just downriver from Korth's.
The marina ramp is running uphill.
