I have a 1988 Carver 3227. I purchased a St. Croix outboard motor storage bracket for the swim platform. The transom has a center door and on port side of the platform is the ladder. The dink is 11 ft long with davits near amidship. Would like best guesses as to where to place storage bracket? How far in from starboard edge and out from transom? Outboard is a 1989 evinrude 15 hp 2-stroke.
Thanks for assistance.

Can you post a photo? I'd like to see how it is set up.

Thanks,
Bob

Sorry don't have photo. Items are new to me and have to be installed. Boat goes in water next week.

my carver came with an outboard bracket mounted in the cockpit. no reason it couldn't be mounted on the swim platform if you had space and the dimensions were correct. the arm going to the side of the cockpit can be swung around. what's the weight of the outboard?

Figuring out where to mount these things is a pain...

Motor weighs about 87 lbs. The mount has a shoe much like the weaver davits. So it can be removed when not in use. Low profile. I have to assume that the shoe should be mounted about 10 or so inches from starboard edge of platform, and maybe 8 or so inches from boat transom. I really won't know until I get the inflatable mounted and in place. To see how much clearence there is in realtion to the inflatables transom and tubes? I was hopping that another owner who may have this set up could give me some advice.
