I had a slight incident this weekend. Lost a thru hull transducer which left a perfect 1 inch hole in the bottom. Got the boat out, but need to do a "quick fix" to get back in by Friday. I thought putting in a bronze thru hull capped of with a cap or a ball valve would be a simple fix to get thru the rest of the season. Over the winter I can install a new transducer etc. Marina wants to fiberglass over the hole. Seems like a lot of work ($$) to me. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
