Point Pleasant Area Reco Needed

Not a ton going on in this sub-forum but I figured I would take a chance anyway...

We are looking to do something for July 4th in the area. The requirements are transient dockage for two boats (14' and 12' beams), access to resturants and either ready access to the beach or a pool.

Anybody?

Been there and done that. Was thinking we go a little more south and try something new.

Shark River Inlet is not an option either...it's a long Stephen King type story that involves docking challenges, a plane crash into Neptune Bay, an apartment building fire and pea-soup thick fog. (Does anyone else remember that weekend?)

One of favorite places to go on the Jersey coast is Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood.

Probably farther than you want to go but I think it's worth the trip.

try calling Hoffman's West Marina in Brielle. They are located directly across Manasquan Inlet from Pt. Pleasant and they just installed a brand new pool. You can walk to several nice restaurants from there and you are also very close to very nice beaches in Manasquan.

I had my boat there the past 2 season which is how I know them. Quality staff running the place.

Thanks, mastersp...we decided to stick with the Channel Club for this trip. Next time we will head further south.
