Polish, Wax, and Outside Temperature

Outside high temps are predicted to be 42 - 47F in Harford County Maryland this weekend. Is that too cold? Is there an ideal temperature for washing, polishing, and waxing?

Depends on the wax and compound you use. Finesse II and McGuire's Flag Ship Wax work well in this temp range. I did my boat last year with a high of 48 degrees and a strong wind blowing off Lake Michigan. Other waxes I have used in the past were a bear to get off in these conditions. The product seemed to have good longevity too. Boat was very fresh looking when it was put away in late October. I plan on doing the same thing on April 15 this year.
 
Thanks! I also plan to use the 3M Finesse II, but will be using the 3m ultra performance paste wax. I've never used the polish, but that wax holds up well and looks great.

Hopefully that temp won't be an issue. The packaging didn't say anything regarding it, but my antifouling paint did, which made me curious.

well technically, "they" say dont... but here in the heated storage buildings its MAYBE 50* and there isnt a problem. its more about comfort
