I have an 84 "conroy" with a mercruiser 140. The shift boot got cut somehow, and leaks into the bilge (quite a bit). Id like to replace it, and know this is probably a "good opportunity" to do the full rubber/hoses/bellows service. But summer's fairly short here, and Id like to get the boat in the water and do the full monty in the fall.
Can "just" the shift boot be replaced? Ive read and read the procedure (for all the bellows) and am not clear if its possible to do so. Can anyone help with specifics?
Thanks a TON in advance...
Jeff
