Pete,
Great picture, is that a picture of you?

Also,
If you have any other picture of that era on the GSB, post them, would be cool tto see them.

Louis,
That was great.

I'll try to scan in some old pictures, don't have any of them electronically right now.

That's me on the left ... I'll see what else I can find ... we spent most every weekend at Davis Park (then known as Leja Beach) ..during the 50s and 60s.

A few more from '59-'60 Davis Park

"East dock known as "The Barge"

Great pictures, look at all the wooden boats.........that is soooo cool.

Ok you look like you were 14 15 years old in that picture, so that would make you in your early 60s?
I grew up on a boat in the GSB, My parents were members of the Seaford Harbor Yacht Club, little boat basin next to Tobay (just east). If you have more pictures please share.

Thanks

Walter

Walter, you hit it close ... 63 this year. I grew up in Patchogue, on the Patchogue river, my folks were members of the Suffolk Boat Club, and Patchogue Bay Power Squadron. Most weekends at Davis Park, occasional trip "out east" to Greenport, Mystic,Ct etc. I'll try and scare up a few more pics in the morning.

Awesome ... pics.,... now i have to go search tru my parents stuff... early 70's power squardon GSB.
