I have a Larson Cabrio 330 with Twin Volvo 5.7's and DuoProps. Many times, when the engines are warm, the helm will oscillate at startup or when backing down - very annoying and difficult to dock! This behavior does NOT occur if moving forward at any speed (1 to 50 mph). Backing down or at rest it sometimes oscillates at one or two cycles every second, especially when turning the helm to starboard. The steering cable and helm have been replaced - no help. Could this be the P/S Pump? the hydraulic actuator? Play in the steering system? The Gimbals? Any suggestions as to what to do next? Thanks! Grace & Peace, John Fraysse
