I have a 39 Silverton MY with SeaStar BA150-7ATM steering system on it. I tried to follow the manual to add fluid and bleed the system, but when I turned the wheel, it just kept turning and nothing would happen below. The ram would be in the same position regardless it I turned right or left and I could keep turning and turning the wheel in either direction with great difficulty but still be able to do this.
Even if there was air in the line, wouldn't the steering ram move a little? I hope my rudder isn't jammed and that's why I'm hoping that I'm doing something wrong or can find out what to do to troubleshoot this, or point on what to look for or what to do.
