Hi All,
I have a 1981 Wellcraft ScarabII with TRS outdrives, at the end of the season last year one of my drive trim pumps gave up the ghost! I tried to have the motor rebuilt and was told that it was to far gone.
My other trim pump is also the original and both seemed to be very slow, So I am going to replace them both with New/Used pumps!
Now for my question....I am looking on ebay and I see a few of the newer style pumps (The ones with the plastic resivors)and I'm wondering if there is any reason these wont work on my boat?
Has anyone tried this? and if so what is involved converting the electrical and Hydrolic lines over. The reason I am thinking of using the newer model pump is that my buddy has them on his newer boat and they really seem to work "better/faster" also im figuring if Im buying used pumps off Ebay that the newer style might be, well, NEWER...lol.
Any input would be apreciated!
