Pretty amazing product

windshield.....seats.....carpets.....electronics.....just about anywhere. COOL product.
 
A few companies have been advertising this type of product for a while now. If I remember correctly, I think Rust-Oleum might have purchased one of them and is selling it under their brand.
 
Ultra Ever-Dry was the 1st of these products I recall reading about a while back. It's website says for industrial use only , not for personal use, in spite of the personal use nature of much of their demo video.

The comments after this above-linked u-tube video mention the Rustoleum product label says "not for use on electronics and clothing" and others mention there is a grayish film and that it washes or wears off too quickly, such as boots that lost their protection in part of a day walking through wet grass.

These are very intriguing products but I'd suggest take care to not get too carried away with demos of just-sprayed items. They apparently require a bottom and top coating and are pretty spendy . Perhaps the life of the protective effects will be improved if that really is an issue.

That said , I'd love to try a sample.
 
How long does it last. Anyone try it as anti-foul. How about reducing friction so getting better mileage.

been threads on this before

rustoleum taking it on is a good step
 
Read the reviews before you purchase this product - most are negative - as getakey says - it's expensive and wears off fast - also not good for fabric - discolors it. Great idea, but they need to work out the kinks!
 
I'll make a cover over the Dash Gauges of a Tractor and Riding Lawn mower.
Maybe over the lid of a 'stuff' box in my Boat.
 
About 50 years ago they came out with this stuff that 'sealed' up scratches in glasses and made them so slick nothing would stick to them so the lens' wouldn't get dirty. Came in a yellow plastic applicator that looked like a big suppository. I think that may have been the precursor of RainX. It seemed to me to be a silicone liquid. It's been around a while so there may be a problem inherent in the product that prevents it from lasting on any surface.
