my windlass good cfd wont lower I took the cover off and there is a sloted shaft with a worm type gear attached . when i removed the the shaft i can hear motor spin in both directions. when i reassembled even thogh the shaft had a slot i could not feel it engage anything . i put the cover on any way When i tested it the the windlass would raise when i push lower i hear the moptor click but nothing happens . Any body ever try to repair this type of windlass and has any ideas
