Has anyone else seen the Progressive Insurance commercial currently running with Flo in a small runabout in a marina looking all of the boats with "Flo" in their names?

At the end of the commercial, Flo puts the hammer down and puts the boat on plane in the marina in what is obviously a no wake zone.

My first thought was that this was an amazingly irresponsible scene from an insurance company.

Geico has a scene with an animated lizard standing in the street almost hit by a car and wood chucks chucking wood into a pond among other memorable moments. Its just meant to capture your attention long enough for you to remember their name. I wouldn't try to read too much into it beyond that.

I was wondering when someone would notice the NWZ violation. Flo, you have been duly cited. I think we're a little late to cite Rodney Dangerfield for the violation captured in Caddy Shack. That was worse plus he split that rowboat in half narrowly missing the rower.

And then, of course, there's Capt. Ron and his no-wake zones.

"Don't worry, they'll get out of our way."

oh please... it's a commercial! you want one of those stupid disclaimer "professional driver on close course"!
